Ivory Coast - Sanctions

Further to our Notice to Members No. 29 2010/2011 of January 2011, the European Union has modified the sanctions against the Ivory Coast to remove the ports of Abidjan and San Pedro from the list of sanctioned entities. HM treasury in the UK published the following on 8 April and other EU states are understood to have published similar amendments to their sanctions regulations implementing the EU decision. Members subject to the EU sanctions are advised to check with the regulating authority in the EU state to confirm the reported amendment before trading or resuming trade to the Ivory Coast.
