Yemen - outbreak of dengue fever and chikungunya viruses

We are advised by local representatives GAC Yemen Ltd. about a serious outbreak of dengue fever and chikungunya viruses in Aden and other areas of Yemen, with a number of deaths resulting from the pandemic. Crewmembers are advised to take steps to minimise the risk of mosquito bites when visiting Yemeni ports in order to avoid infection, especially since high quality medical services are not available locally.
