USA - Supreme Court Permits Implementation of Executive Order on Immigration

As reported in News Items on 8 March and 17 March 2017, President Trump's efforts to implement an Executive Order blocking nationals from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen from entering the US were injuncted by various district courts.

The US Supreme Court has now agreed to consider the validity of Executive Order 13780 in the autumn and in the interim have largely lifted the injunctions, imposing a 90-day suspension of entry of citizens from those countries except those who have a "credible claim of a bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States."
