Compliance Analyst - Job Description

Department: Compliance
Grade: Senior Executive
Reports to: Compliance Manager
Location: London Hybrid- 3 days in the office

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team to assist with the management of the regulatory and legislative compliance function across jurisdictions within which the Club operates through the maintenance of an effective worldwide framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review KYC documentation in place for policyholders and ensure appropriate execution of the KYC policy and procedure. Escalate issues when required.
  • Monitor completeness of KYC documentation, including frequency of reviews, contribute to the continuing improvement of the KYC process.
  • Liaise with Underwriting teams and provide support to address KYC complexities.
  • Support the digitalisation project of KYC documentation.
  • Monitor and review data to be collected in relation to sanctions’ regulations the Club is subject to. Ensure records are up to date and complete, liaise with Underwriting when required.
  • Support the Compliance Manager in the preparation and provision of compliance trainings, ensure targeted attendance across offices.
  • Ensure adherence to various Club’s policies and procedures and monitor processes such as Conflict of Interest declarations and Gift Register.
  • Monitor licencing requirements in those countries where the Club operates and support the Compliance Manager to maintain the Licencing Guide.
  • Monitor the calendar of annual compliance submissions, including both regulatory returns and licence renewals.
  • Monitor adherence to requirements for the completion of Data Protection Impact Assessments.
  • Provide general support to the Compliance Manager to deliver the Compliance Plan.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Firsthand experience in CDD / Financial Crime within the London Insurance Market.
  • Knowledge of general insurance regulation, operating processes and technology in the financial services industry.
  • Detail orientated, ability to interact with other people and other functions and to work as a team member.
  • Strong IT skills, proficient in managing data from different systems to ensure the timely delivery of management information and adherence to the Club’s procedures.
