Huatai Insurance Agency and Consultancy Service Ltd have advised the Club that the main shipping routes off the coastline of Zhenjiang Province have undergone adjustments by the Zhenjiang Maritime Safety Administration (MSA). The routing changes have been implemented to better separate merchant vessels from the fishing areas during their transits through those waters.

Vessels navigating within these waters will be required to adhere to prescribed routes with designated usage according to a ship’s tonnage size and their port of arrival or departure.

Effective from 10 September 2021, details on the changes to the 15 main shipping routes can be found in the following circular: Coastal Waters of Zhejiang Province, China - Public Notice on the Adjustment of Main Public Shipping Routes.

Members requiring further guidance should contact the Loss Prevention department.
