News 15 May, 2024Revised Environmental Crime Directive to come into force on 20 May 2024
The revised Environmental Crime Directive (ECD) has now been published in the Official Journal of the EU, and comes into force on 20 May 2024, replacing Directive 2008/99/EC and Directive 2009/123/EC. Member States have until 21 May 2026 to adopt necessary national measures to transpose the revised ECD.

News 15 May, 2024Strong Financial Results Strengthen Capital
The Club is pleased to announce a strong financial performance for the 2023-24 financial year, achieving a 94.5% combined ratio. This is the third year in a row of improvement, a result which represents the Club’s best combined ratio since 2017, and one that is significantly ahead of the recent International Group combined ratio average of 114%.

News 22 Apr, 2024Venezuela - re-imposition of U.S. sanctions
On 17 April 2024 OFAC issued General License 44A (GL44A) which permits the wind-down of oil and gas operations in Venezuela until 31 May 2024, including “the production, lifting, sale, and exportation of oil or gas from Venezuela, and provision of related goods and services” and transactions involving the state oil company PdVSA.
